TV Talk Podcast with GMMR and Ducky: Winter TV Preview

January 7, 2010 – 9:53 pm life-unexpected-promo

Fall Schmall… The Winter 2010 TV schedule is cuckoo-bananas! Ducky and GMMR sat down, screeners in hand, mapped out all the premiere dates and dished the dirt on all the new and returning shows.

What did we think of the first 5 episodes of CHUCK Season 3? What about the new season of 24 featuring Starbuck (Katee Sackhoff)? What about new shows like LIFE UNEXPECTED, THE DEEP END, CAPRICA, HAPPY TOWN and HUMAN TARGET?

Want to know when DAMAGES, LOST, SOUTHLAND, GLEE and NURSE JACKIE return? Want to know how long you have to wait for Lauren Graham to shine in PARENTHOOD? How many more weeks until the return of TV Talk’s recurring listener fave “2 Idiots Talk LOST”?

Find all this out and more as we pour over everything Winter 2010 has to offer us TV fanatics!

  2. So the Will They Won’t never ends. I mean come on so why is Chuck hooking up with Hannah. Sarah is Hooking up with her boss. I mean come on people who are you fooling.

If the WTWT never ends then good luck.

I thought being a spy means you shouldn’t be getting involved.

Unfortunately I am not interested in seeing the other love interests they talk about.

If this world is so dangerous they should not be with anyone. Chuck the spy could get his civilian girlfriend killed.

If you are going to create rules for Chuck in the spy world they should relate to the real world. So basically you want to have sex, you can’t you are a spy.

This is getting WAAAAY past lame.

  3. Great job team.

Totally agree with you about your comment that Hannah and Shaw do not end up being bad guys.

Most timely as my latest article over at ChuckTV is about that very same thing.

So glad we are getting back into the regular TV schedule. It has been a dry spell indeed.

  5. While I agree that the first four eps of V were not very special, they are getting an all-new creative team. From what I’ve read in interviews, it sounds like the returning V could be a very different (and much more thrilling) show. So I think at least the first couple episodes will be worth checking out.

  6. Great podcast. New shows that I am looking forward to, and glad that you are as well, are Parenthood and Life Unexpected. I’m also looking forward to the returns of Nurse Jackie, United States of Tara and Secret Diary of a Call Girl.
I just recently finished the last 2 episodes of V that had aired. I’m going to keep watching when that returns. It could get interesting… maybe.

  7. Listening to the podcast and it’s taking me forever to get through! How dare these people who keep coming into my office!

One thing about the Deep End - it was filmed partly in Dallas. On the street I was living on at the time! So I have to watch to see if you can see me in the background flipping them off from my car because they were keeping me from getting into my parking garage! Also, one of my mom’s friends is in the 4th(?) episode I think. Another reason I will have to watch a little.
