  2. Confession time: I have yet to see a single episode of True Blood since Season 1, but your conversations are TOO fantastic to miss! SOO-KAY is the new Fiona Faraday…

  3. Ok Dan, you made me tear up just talking about FNL and Matt finding out his dad died. I bawled when I saw it and ham so happy you guys got me watching this show!

I am rewatching Supernatural from the beginning this summer and so far am really enjoying it. I have to wonder how much the writers actually knew what they were doing S1 because there are some great small moments that have me misty now that we are thru S5.

I have S2 of True Blood to watch too and I am sure I will get that soon! I hate that I am a season behind but I have to have Showtime for BB after dark and no way can I afford HBO too.

I really, really love the podcasts! You guys are the best!

  4. I was SO excited to listen to your podcast so I could hear your thoughts on True Blood. I am LOVING the new episodes. Any scene with Eric is amazing and I say this all the time, I hope Eric and Sookie hook up soon because that will be amazing. I haven’t read the books, and I don’t plan to until the shows over, but I do know a few of the story lines. And if they do the same thing in the show with Bill, I’ll be very happy. I also am a little tired of Tara, she kind of bugs me. I heart Terry and Arlene, they are so funny. And I do not have enough words to express my love for Jason Stackhouse, he’s just so.. dumb, but hellahot at the same time. Bill’s story line is lagging a little for me too, and I hope they pick up the speed, and I don’t think he actually killed Lorena, which you guys didn’t mention! Oh and Jessica and Hoyt= cutest couple! They need to figure their shit out and get back together. Seriously, I could talk about True Blood forever. I’m a little obsessed as you can see, and a week is too long to wait! But, I think that might have something to do with me having watched the first two seasons in like 2 weeks, while taking finals :) , my priorities are in order, as always.

Anywho, I haven’t even listened to the rest of the podcast cause I got all pumped for True Blood, but I’ll skip FNL because I’m only on the second season, unfortunately. Great podcast as usual and you better talk about True Blood next week or I’ll come after YOU with a pipe bomb! (mostly kidding)..

  5. Dan didn’t talk about Doctor Who this time. In the Pandorica episode, as the doctor is being dragged, doesn’t the music sound like a Michael Giacchino score from LOST?

  6. As usual, great episode! Love the talks about FNL. This show deserves so many accolades and gets zip. It’s ridiculous. So many people think it is a jock show and that it would be unappealing to non-sport fans. So far from the truth. Love the talk aout Secret Diary of a Call Girl too. I stopped at the last episode of Season 2, but Dan has me going back to watch season 3. Top Chef is great, but I am really addicted to Next Food Network Star, which uses many of the chefs from the Top Chef Masters as judges. Soooo great and interesting to see how being camera friendly is really important. I’m using the summer to catch up on Supernatural too. I am so far behind I won’t tell you. Just think of Kath last summer. Now you know my problem. Love you guys, and keep up the good work.

  7. Oh two more question:
1)What do you think about using the summer to catch up on Smallville? Is it “what’s the point” or “it’ll be a good time”?
    2) What about me catching up on Brother and Sisters?
Your opinion is very influential. :)

  8. I’m j’adoring Pretty Little Liars! I love the 4 characters and i’m really curious about the “A” mistery and who killed Ali if she’s really dead. It reminds me of the first season of Desperate Housewives except with younger leads.

If FNL doesn’t win an emmy this year i’ll stop taking the emmys seriously. How is the show so great and yet so simple? Perfecion.

I’m not finding True Blood as amazing as you guys. I guess the pacing of Vampire Diaries spoiled me, because I find some big parts of True Blood really boring, I think it’s because each character has their own storyline and different people to interact with so it doesn’t all come together. Some of the things they do are so creative and hilarious though it’s still a must see.

Can Big Brother please get here fast?

  9. Chitown – Honestly, if you are looking to play catch up on a new show this summer I don’t think I would go with either of those. I don’t watch SMALLVILLE, so I can’t speak to the quality, but I know it has MANY seasons so it’s going to take a long time to watch. As for B&S – I just think there are better shows out there that you would like more. If you are looking for suggestions, leave a message with your favorite 5-10 shows of all time…based on that, we can come up with some recommendations.

  10. Ok, Just to recap, I am looking for a great show to catch up on or even start watching this summer. So upon suggestion, these are my 10 ten fave shows of all time (or atleast for today.) I warn you…it’s highly eclectic.

    10. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
    9. Joan of Arcadia
    8. Battlestar Galactica
    7. Dawson’s Creek
    6. Firefly
    5. Friday Night Lights
    4. Moonlighting (Bruce Willis/Cybil Shepherd)
    3. Veronica Mars
    2. Arrested Development/ The Wire (weird mix, but I love them both with the same intensity)
    1. Lost

  11. JasTray–I thought the same thing about that Doctor Who episode. (Although I don’t know if that episode officially aired here in the US yet). I posted on another forum that it felt very much like a scene out of Lost with the dramatic music playing as you saw the plight of each character.

Dan and Kath–you two haven’t been talking/tweeting a lot about Comic-Con as you usually do this time of year. Are you guys going? I’m so excited that I will be going for the first time this year–I was able to get tickets this when they offered the new hotel packages on Monday.

  12. No Kyle, Dan and I won’t be going to Comic Con this year. Marisa will be handling things for GMMR :(

By admin on Jun 30, 2010

  13. Do you already watch SUPERNATURAL?

That’s a show that seems to be a natural fit with Buffy, Firefly, Moonlight, and Veronica Mars — all which combine great storytelling, interesting characters, heartfelt moments, and most important…wit!!

Were you an ALIAS fan back in the day?

By admin on Jun 30, 2010

  14. I’ll second the Alias and Supernatural recomendations, I think you might like those Chitown.

By Mia on Jul 1, 2010

  15. And VAMPIRE DIARIES!

By Mia on Jul 1, 2010

  16. Knowing the cancellation of Party Down was coming doesn’t make it hurt any less.

By JasTay on Jul 1, 2010

  17. Thanks for the suggestion everyone. I think I am going to do the Vampire Diaries and Supernatural. I was a big Alias fan and these shows sound like they will fit in perfectly.

By Chitown mimi on Jul 2, 2010

  18. A little correction for you. Fangoria is a horror magazine, FantTASIA is the Vamp bar.

Otherwise this is one of my new favourite podcasts. Love that you love SYTYCD as much as I do.
