  2. There were no chapter markers on my itunes, but I didn’t need to skip anything. Fun podcast.

By David on Sep 7, 2010

  3. Thanks for letting us know, @David. Glad you enjoyed the podcast.

By Kath on Sep 7, 2010

  4. OMG I die with every mention of “The Dobrev”, don’t even know why. But Katherine is looking damn fierce in those promos, that is for sure.

I’m with y’all. I’m not very excited for the new shows, they all look the same except for Lonestar and My Generation, so those are the ones i’m excited about. I can’t wait for some returnees though: Vampire Diaries, Glee, Community, Modern Family and Supernatural. Can’t get her soon enough!

  5. Great podcast again this week guys, making me giggle the whole way through.

I’m mainly looking forward to returning shows, rather than adding any more to my list of shows I watch. One thing I like about you guys above other podcasts I listen to is that you’re honest about Glee. It’s not the best put together show ever, but I still love it despite it’s fail moments. I listen to a glee specific one, and they cannot say anything against the show except how “ground breaking” and “challenging” it is. Yeah it’s those things (kind of), but it’s also a total lighthearted cheese-fest.And that is why I love the show, and I think you guys are on the same level with that.

So excited that SOA is tonight however.

Was glad to see you mention Blue Bloods – did you guys know that Francis Capra was gonna be in an episode… (Yeah,. I know the Capra fangirl strikes again!)

Was so nice to hear Amarie this week joining you guys, but I did miss hearing Digby squeaking away in the back ground. (Not that Amrie is in any way comparable to Digby!!)

By Laiq on Sep 7, 2010

  6. Aw @Laiq – thanks for being so sweet about Digby. Someone left us a comment over at iTunes complaining about my pup, so I’m trying to be sensitive to keeping her quiet. But she’s an 8 month old puppy who needs attention, so it’s sometimes out of my hands.

By Kath on Sep 7, 2010

  7. @Kath i don’t know if it’s because I’ve listened for a very long time, and I am used to you guys being “crazy” (I remember you sneezing through podcasts because of Dan’s cats, and the always amazing joy of car-casting in random parking lots) that actually the little amount of noise that Digby makes during a podcast is absolutely fine, and just add’s to the fun list of reasons why you guys are my favourite TV podcast.

By Laiq on Sep 7, 2010

  8. So enjoyed this podcast and not just because you mentioned me at the end and made me squeal out loud at work. (and man is it quiet here today!)

    You know I love Amrie.

I too am more excited about my returning shows than most of the new stuff. I will be watching Hawaii 5No only for the eye candy. And to have a show to talk to my dad about since they cancelled 24. I will probably watch Lonestar and Blue Bloods. Maybe that Boardwalk show on HBO. But I am not “excited” about much of anything except TVD and Supernatural. It might be super easy this year to watch a crappy pilot and just say no soon after. Oh! I am excited about The Good Wife.

Doesn’t Shonda Rimes have another new show coming up with Matt Sarezan this year?

Speaking of, I only just caught up with FNL this past summer but I am watching it over on ABC Family. I don’t have Direct TV (I assume some people do?) so I am in the same boat as you guys. Don’t forget yours truly will be in the series finally come next summer!

I too love dog noises and don’t mind Digby at all. And Dan can say FUCK all he wants. And make up words I can you daily. You guys are cramaizing!

By Patty on Sep 7, 2010

  9. OMG I love all the comments so far!

Seriously, the “and I’m Amrie” shout in the beginning makes me piss a little. I can’t stop listening to it, it’s so fucking hilarious.

Thanks for all the comments. Yes, Digby can sometimes take over a cast, but what are you gonna do? We’re not professionals in a studio, it is what it is.

I love that @Laiq goes all the way back to the cat sneezing days. Benna kitty would be proud.

    Keep em coming friends!

By Ducky on Sep 7, 2010

  10. OMG the crow in the background in the intro? Legen-waitforit-dary! It’s like something straight out of Supernatural. Podcast of the Corn.

By Ducky on Sep 7, 2010

  11. Hi, great tv Podcast… i love it! Ducky and GMMR are extremely funny.

By Victor Hugo on Sep 7, 2010

  12. I was just thinking over the weekend that it’s already September and I have no idea what’s going to be on TV because you hadn’t done your Fall Preview yet!
I’ll probably start watching The Event and maybe Blue Bloods. I may pick up Modern Family and The Good Wife. I’m excited for the return of Glee and TAR. I’m mostly bummed that all the summer shows are ending because I watch more in the summer than the fall.
And I miss Digby, because I listen to the podcast while I work (from home) and one of my dogs gets all excited/confused when Digby barks. He hears her but can’t figure out where she is, and keeps going to the window trying to find her. So cute!

By Dawn on Sep 7, 2010

  13. Among the surprised, I’m so sick of Tara’s saying “Eggs” every 4 minutes on “True Blood” so don’t understand your love of that character.

But really surprised you didn’t mention “Dexter.” Actually pretty jazzed to see what they do post Rita homicide.

By Corey on Sep 7, 2010

  14. OH, the Event. i will be watching that too.

By Patty on Sep 7, 2010

  15. and this will be the first time I watch Survivor only because of Jimmy Johnson. I love him. But I do not like football. Please don’t think I like sports.

By Patty on Sep 7, 2010

  16. @Ducky I go back a lot further – I used to be a “row 1″ person back in the WWK live spoiler chat days – I used to stay up until something like 1am my time to be there!!!

By Laiq on Sep 8, 2010

  17. As always, you guys rocked! Loved, loved, loved the podcast. Such a total high for my day. Amrie might just have to visit more often, ‘cuz I am loving the fact that she watches practically everything! Did I miss you guys talking about AMC’s zombie show, the Walking Dead? Also I was hoping you guys would review Mad Men last Sunday!! Was it not un-f?!@#%-ing believable?

By Chitown mimi on Sep 9, 2010

  18. @Chitown – Loved having Amrie there. I too am amazed at how much she watches. Impressive.

I know Dan is looking forward to The Walking Dead BIG TIME so I’m sure he’ll be talking about it soon enough. We did miss that one.

We recorded last Sunday morning so we weren’t able to talk about MAD MEN’s frakking incredible episode. Hopefully we can cover it in the next podcast…provided it doesn’t take a few weeks to get our shit together.

By Kath on Sep 9, 2010

  19. Hearing about Mike and Molly makes me miss (alliteration much?) Samantha Who?…that was a fun show and McCarthy was a kick on there.

You guys can have your soapy vampires, but I’ll take NCIS any day over that! It hurt my heart to hear you diss a show that you don’t even watch (granted, I haven’t seen any vampire shows but I have read Twilight and it was awful….I guess I am reluctant to try another even though I have heard you guys diss Twilight as well. I digress..). I like NCIS for the characters…the dead people (murder cases) are like background stuff just to see the characters interact. Pauley Perrette actually does have a degree in Criminology and knows forensics so her character really IS her (she also was in a punk rock band). I miss Kate (quit the show after season 2) and Ziva is the weakest link on the show, but everyone else is fun to watch. I ♥ McGee and Tony! We have the reruns on as a background noise when we make dinner every night.

  20. I was looking forward to Hawaii 5-0, but now I’ll be lowering those expectations. They’ve been replaying the old series on some cable channel (Spike?) and that show was SO BAD. Did you hear that Tori Spelling’s husband Dean McDermott auditioned for the show? She Twittered about it…haven’t really seen him act, but that would have gotten buzz for the show maybe if they’d hired him.

What did you guys think about the Emmys? I was sooo excited for Eric Stonestreet and Kyra Sedgewick. The Closer is such a good show. I watch a lot of procedurals, but that one really stands out. Her win was long overdue. Now if we could get James Roday and Dule Hill nominated we’d all be good. We were discussing the Psych boys and I thought that James Roday had the funniest lines to say, but Dule Hill has the best physical comedy. LOVE THEM! I am tempted to say that I look forward more to the summer shows than the fall shows. In Plain Sight, Psych, SYTYCD, The Closer, Dark Blue (based on real undercover cop stories…so good), White Collar, Mad Men…I’m basically stuck on USA and TNT from June to September!

By toast with JAM on Sep 9, 2010

  21. I’m also tempted to change my screen name since Jim and Pam have kinda turned to duds for me. They were the reason I LOVED the show, but since Pam grew a backbone and they got together, I see NO chemistry between them…but it made me shift my attention to Steve Carell who blows me away with how great he is….and now he’s leaving…(tear)

Amrie gave good insight to a lot of shows and that was cool….I have to agree with her that I also love The Good Guys..Bradley Whitford is so funny…really funny..and Colin Hanks is a carbon copy of his dad. The love interest they have for him is the weak link, but the buddy part of the show and the flashbacks to “one minute ago” are hilarious.

MAD MEN: I’ve always enjoyed the scenes with Don Draper and Peggy Olson more than any others and this weeks episode is #1 in my book! Can you say double Emmy win for those two? Cramazing! The This Week in Mad Men podcast was excellent in covering this episode as well.

OK, I’ve filled your comment page for long enough, I’ll let someone else talk now! :)

  22. Just listened today. Love, love, loved it! I only started listening this summer so I was thrilled to realize you are Vampire Diaries fans!! I feel like your fall preview is my equivalent to the NFL draft/start of football season for sports fans. I get super excited for the new TV season and hearing you all discuss the writers, actors and premiere dates was like the kickoff to my season. Thank you for all those hours of watching you do for my entertainment!

By Amber on Sep 12, 2010

  23. I loved your podcast – but did miss the sounds of Digby (and Kath chasing after Digby muttering “damn dog”)…keep the dog in the podcast. :-)

One comment on your obviously “fave” new show based on the comments, ahem, Outsourced. Did you know that it’s based on a movie? Same concept – but neatly wrapped up into a two hour movie. It was not so bad, but would have never imagined it being made into a tv series.

Can’t say I’m too excited about any of the new shows coming up; and feeling really blah about this season with Lost and Heroes no longer around. Will enjoy my Survivor and Amazing Race; and will look forward to Dexter’s return now that True Blood is over.

By Caroline on Sep 14, 2010

  24. The Preview Podcasts are some of my favorites always. I managed to watch No Ordinary Family and I thought it was soooooo cliche. But I loved Nikita. I can’t wait for the Event to start.

And I wanted to thank you all for getting me hooked on Vampire Diaries. Next step is Pretty Little Liars once I finally catch up on Supernatural.

    By Mattie B on Sep 15, 2010

  25. Loved your Fall Preview podcast, as always you guys made me laugh out loud! I am so ready for the return of Supernatural =D and can’t wait to check out The Event!

By Tammy on Sep 15, 2010

  26. It took me a while to finally listen but thanks for the preview! I hadn’t heard very much about Lone Star but am looking forward to that! Thanks again.

By Mindy on Sep 20, 2010

  27. Ha! In the opening documentary-style montage for Glee, I cracked up and thought of you guys when Jacob asked Will if he would ever stop rapping :-D

By Julie on Sep 22, 2010

  28. I love the poolside podcast! Really nice preview, helped me plot out my DVR scheduling.

Thanks so much for the fun listening for the subway…although I’m pretty sure people think I’m nuts because I sit there agreeing to no one but my headphones.

By The Sue Funke on Sep 23, 2010

  29. @Julie, I thought the same thing about Will’s rapping. I love the premiere episode! It covered everyone and was so fun.
